Day 53, miles today- 14.4, total- 728.5

Lamberts Meadow Shelter to Fulhart Knob Shelter.
Pumpkin Head, Wanderlust, Dutch, Iceman and I started hiking at 9:00 am. It was already in the 60's. It seems that warm weather is definitely here. We had 9.4 miles to get to Daleville. Most of the time we were on top of the ridge. There were several ups and downs, but overall not to difficult.
We reached Daleville at 12:45. Our first stop was at Three Lil' Pigs BBQ. We each ate enough for two people. Thru hikers received a free bowl of banana pudding. We were all very full when we left. We then went to the outfitters and then I went to Kroger's to resupply. It was about 3:30 pm when we got back on trail. We had about five miles to hike to reach the shelter. There are ten people here. Eight are in the shelter. In the shelter are Wanderlust, Iceman, Beacon, Humen, Crazy Frog, section hikers Kim and Rachel, and myself. Dutch and Pumpkin Head are tenting. The section hikers were at the shelter with us last night too. They were both veterinarians and had gone to college together. Rachel had a very nice dog named Petty. At about 6:30 pm it started to rain. I'm glad I'm in a shelter.  We talked and laughed about recent experiences. Humen said he wanted to do the four state challenge, which would be coming up. I did it three years ago and feel no need to repeat it. It involves hiking 44+ miles in one day. Falling asleep to rain hitting the shelter roof is pretty nice.
